Avicularia, Caribena, Poecilotheria, Psalmopoeus - long-legged climbers that web vertical cork and foliage. Spiderpig arboreal shells run 12 cm, 18.5 cm, and 31 cm high so height clears roughly 3–4× diagonal leg span.

Husbandry ruleShallow substrate for humidity and a water dish. The architecture is vertical cork and foliage, not floor space.

Terrestrial · 10 / 16 / 21 / 30 cm cubes

Floor space. Fall safety.

Grammostola, Brachypelma, Tliltocatl - ground hunters that need length and width, not height. Cube sizes from 10 cm to 30 cm keep open air above the substrate at or below ~1.5× leg span; a fall onto a hard floor can rupture the abdomen.

Husbandry ruleDeep substrate is fall protection as much as burrowing medium. Cross-vent just above the substrate line.
